Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have once again become a talking point on social media platforms. The buzz follows the circulation of a viral video featuring Palash Muchhal's sister, singer Palak Muchhal, alongside Smriti Mandhana's father.
While neither Mandhana nor Muchhal has commented, the clip has led fans online to speculate that the former couple may have rekindled their relationship.
Soon after winning the Women's World Cup in 2025, Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's relationship had officially entered a new stage.
The two were set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025. However, the wedding was indefinitely postponed and later called off by both Smriti and Palash. Reports suggest there was a drift in their personal relationship, which forced the wedding to be cancelled.
While initially the delay made headlines due to the sudden illness of Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, social media were flooded with speculation. However, Palash's family responded to viral speculations and referred to them as baseless.

During the same time, Palash was also hospitalized with reports suggesting that he was under extreme stress.
Eventually, a few weeks later, both Smriti and Palash had officially announced the end of their relationship as they called off the wedding.
However, in an undated viral video, Palak Muchhal was seen outside a cafe along with her husband, Mithoon. But what caught the attention of fans was a small glimpse of Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, who was seen giving blessings to Palak while she touched his feet out of respect.
As per the caption, the individuals were spotted outside Farmer's Café in Bandra. While several social media users believe the clip is an old video that has resurfaced, others feel it signals improving ties between the Mandhana and Muchhal families.

Smriti Mandhana was hailed for her performance as she stood strong, showing no interference of her personal life on the cricket field. Within two months of the wedding chaos, Smriti Mandhana lifted the WPL 2026 trophy in February. She was also awarded 'Player of The Match' as she scored a spectacular 86 runs, leading her team to victory.
Palash Muchhal's recent work includes Hum Tum Maktoob, a project he not only directed but also wrote. He is also reportedly set to cast Daisy Shah in his upcoming untitled project alongside Shreyas Talpade.
