GTA VI Trailer 2 Launch: Story And Gameplay Details Revealed So Far
The players will experience the game through the eyes of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a 'Bonny and Clyde' style couple that have a partnership rooted in romance and crime

Rockstar released the second trailer for its much anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI video game on Tuesday, along with updating the official website on details regarding the two playable protagonists and the cast and crew of criminals that they will meet along the way.
NDTV Profit covers all the potential story details and gameplay opportunities observed in the trailer for the sixth installment in the open world crime franchise.
Setting And Premise
GTA VI is set in the fictional state of 'Leonida' and stands in for the southern US state of Florida, with a primary focus on 'Vice City', directly inspired by Miami.
According to the official website, the players will experience the game through the eyes of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a 'Bonny and Clyde' style couple that have a partnership rooted in romance and crime.
Starting off as low-level career criminals, what seemed like an easy score goes south and they soon find themselves embroiled in a criminal conspiracy spanning across Leonida.
The game is a spiritual successor to Rockstar's seminal and iconic 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City' game, which first introduced the Vice City setting in 3D to players in 2002.
Inspired by Micheal Mann's 'Miami Vice' television series as well as Brian De Palma's crime epic 'Scarface', GTA: Vice City's sprawling art deco locales and tranquil sun-kissed beaches are set to make a return in GTA VI, along with many new locations.
Unlike 'Vice City', the new game will not be set in 1986 but instead in the modern day, taking inspiration from the real life absurdity Florida has become notorious in the media for.
Cast And Crew

The players will experience the game throught the eyes of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a 'Bonny and Clyde' style couple.
The website and the trailer revealed a lot of new and returning characters that will show up in the game.
Starting off with the protagonists, Lucia Caminos, is a Latin American ex-con, who landed in jail due to "fighting for her family", according to the website. Her bio and screenshots hint at a background in professional fighting due to depictions of her going at a punch bag and having been "taught to fight as soon as she could walk".
Like GTA IV's Niko Bellic, Rockstar hinted that she is chasing the elusive 'American Dream' aiming to want "the good life" her mother dreamed of.
Lucia is joined by Jason Duval, a drug dealer with an ex-military background doing various jobs for local drug runners. His history and experience in crime spans well into his childhood with his bio saying he grew up around "grifters" and "crooks" and joined the army to "escape his troubled teens".

The game will have a fresh supporting cast of characters who will most likely function as mission givers for the players.
They will be a part of a fresh supporting cast of characters who will most likely function as mission givers for the players. Major characters seem to be Raul Batista, a seasoned bank robber similar to GTA V's Michael De Santa and Brian Heder, an aging local drug kingpin.
Other major players include Cal Hampton, a conspiracy theorist who seems to know his way around Coast Guard comms and real estate mogul "Boobie" Ike, who also has an empire spanning recording studios and gentlemen's clubs.
Other characters the player will interact with will be street hustler and aspiring musician Dre'quan Priest, social media influencer sisters 'Real Dimez'.
Returning side characters from Vice City like gun runner Phil Cassidy also made an appearance.
Gameplay Opportunities, Locations

Players will likely be able to traverse iconic areas in a vast open world ripped straight from Florida.
According to various locations revealed in the trailer, players will likely traverse iconic areas in a vast open world ripped straight from Florida, such as a coral archipelago inspired by the Florida Keys, alligator-infested swamp lands and densely crowded beaches and art deco-inspired buildings.
A massive step-up from GTA: Vice City.
The game franchise will also have its first playable female protagonist for its 3D games in Lucia, along with a unique character dynamic in the gameplay as players will switch between her and her romantic partner Jason.
Missions are confirmed to include storefront robberies, based on leaks, but players may also get to go on heists, do high-level drug deals, and do various shady favours for real estate and music industry figures.
'Strangers And Freaks' missions that first made their debut in 2008's 'GTA IV' may also make a return as the first trailer featured a whole host of surreal characters and situations inspired by the bizarre real life 'Florida Man' news stories.
Game leaks and visuals also teased a lot enterable interiors, a feature that wasn't as prevalent in GTA V.
GTA VI has officially been confirmed to launch on May 26, 2026.
