The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) offers multiple services to its members through its unified portal. The subscribers of the EPF scheme can use the Member Portal of the EPFO for a host of needs, from passbook updates to claim settlements.

At times, some of the services may get delayed due to multiple factors. Many EPFO members may even face issues related to advance withdrawals, claim settlements and account transfers, among others. In such cases, the EPFO Grievance Portal could be your best route to resolution.

Designed to simplify the complaints process, this official platform by the EPFO allows members, pensioners, and employers to report grievances and track updates in real time.

The EPFO Integrated Grievance Management System (EPFiGMS) was introduced to eliminate the need for repeated physical visits to EPFO offices and reduce wait times. It covers a wide range of issues, including refund delays, pension disputes, problems with UAN activation, errors in member details and delay in PF transfers.

How To Register A Grievance Online

  • Visit the official website: Go to https://epfigms.gov.in.

  • Click on 'Register Grievance', this option is available on the homepage.

  • Select your status: Choose from Member, Employer, Pensioner or Others (select 'Others' if you don’t have a UAN).

  • Enter your UAN and security code: Click on 'Get Details' to fetch your account information.

  • Verify your details: Your name, UAN, email ID, and mobile number will appear. Confirm they are correct.

  • Get OTP: Click on 'Get OTP' and enter the one-time password sent to your registered mobile number.

  • Choose the PF account: Under the ‘Personal Details’ section, select the relevant PF account number.

  • Fill in grievance details:

    • Select the grievance type and category.

    • Describe your issue clearly in the provided text box.

  • Upload supporting documents (optional): Click on ‘Choose Files’, select relevant documents, then click ‘Attach’.

  • Submit the grievance: Once done, you will receive a registration number for tracking.

  • Track status and updates: You will also receive details on your registered email ID.

  • Resolution timeline: Complaints are typically addressed within 15 to 30 working days, after verification by EPFO.
