Asia–Pacific markets were trading on a negative note on Friday as traders shift their focus to the Federal Reserve's policy meet next week. The Nikkei 225 and S&P ASX 200 were trading 0.88% and 0.62% down, respectively.
On Thursday, stocks ended lower after a set of economic data showed a mixed picture of the economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 ended 0.53% and 0.54% down, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite ended 0.66% down.
The brent crude was trading 0.02% down at $73.39 a barrel as of 6:37 a.m. The Bloomberg spot Gold was trading 0.42% higher at $2,691.92 a barrel.
The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.05%, or 11.50 points higher at $24,554.50 as of 6:50 a.m.
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex ended at the lowest level in over a week as shares of Reliance Industries Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. dragged.
The Nifty 50 ended 93.10 points, or 0.38%, down at 24,548.70, while the Sensex ended 236.18 points, or 0.29%, lower at 81,289.96.
Overseas investors remained net sellers of Indian equities on Thursday for the second consecutive day, while domestic institutional investors remained net buyers for the third consecutive session.
Foreign portfolio investors offloaded stocks worth Rs 3,560.01 crore, whereas the DIIs bought stocks worth Rs 2,646.65 crore, according to provisional data shared by the National Stock Exchange.
The Indian rupee closed 3 paise lower at 84.87 against the US dollar.

Firstsource Solutions: The company has announced its partnership with WebID Group, a leading digital identification provider. This collaboration further strengthens the company’s trust and safety offering by enhancing their platform security, optimising the online identity process, and reducing potential fraudulent or malicious actors.
Tata Motors: The company has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its trucks and buses portfolio effective from Jan. 1. The price increase is to offset the rise in input costs.
NESCO: The company has been declared as the highest bidder for a project from National Highways Logistics Management. The project includes the development, operations, and maintenance of wayside amenities on the Hyderabad Visakhapatnam Expressway. It will infuse Rs 50 crore for the development of the wayside amenities for each of the four sites.
NHPC: The company has revised its borrowing plan to raise up to Rs 6,900 crore in fiscal 2025 through non-convertible debentures. Of this, Rs. 2,600 crore will be raised in one or more tranches via private placement as part of the overall borrowing plan for the year.
NACL Industries: The company's board has approved the appointment of Anish T. Mathew as chief financial officer, effective from Dec. 13.
Gopal Snacks: The company's operations have been temporarily halted due to a fire incident.
ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co.: The Delhi High Court has annulled the Order-in-Original issued by the adjudicating authority and granted the writ petition filed by ICICI Lombard. The court has instructed the adjudicating authority to revisit the case and proceed anew, taking into account the show cause notice already issued.
Bajel Projects: The company has received an EPC work order from Solapur Transmission. Solapur Transmission is a project special purpose vehicle company of Torrent Power.
Veefin Solutions: On Dec. 12, 2024, the company acquired a 50% stake in Walnut AI PTE. The acquisition aims to boost revenue and create synergies.

JK Tyre and Industries: Deutsche Investitions will provide the company with a long-term loan of €30 million to support the expansion of production capacities in Madhya Pradesh.
Prime Securities: The company has acquired a 41.68% stake in Ark Neo Financial Services, the Chennai-based fintech platform known as DhanLAP. Following the acquisition, Prime’s holding will exceed 50%. Prime’s total investment in the company will amount to Rs 7 crore.

Kalpataru Projects International: The government of Mauritanian has raised objections, and the company has received a revised penalty demand of around Rs 73 lakh. Previously, the government had issued an order imposing a penalty of Rs 1.4 crore.
GreenPly Industries: The manufacturing operations at the MDF plant of the company's arm, Greenply Speciality Panels, in Gujarat have been shut down effective Dec. 11 due to a machinery breakdown.
GHCL: The company has received environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change for its Soda Ash Greenfield Project in Kutch, Gujarat.
Adani Green Energy: The company’s arm incorporated three wholly owned subsidiaries, AGE65L, AGE66L, and AGE67L.
Mankind Pharma: The company received a GST order of Rs 2 lakh for fiscals 2018 and 2019 from the CGST Superintendent in Dehradun. The company said the demand, including penalty, levied is arbitrary and unjustified. The firm said it is exploring options available to take appropriate steps, which may include the filing of an appeal if required.
Zomato: The company has received a GST demand order worth Rs 402 crore with a penalty of Rs 402 crore. The order was with respect to a non-payment of GST on delivery charges.
Hindustan Aeronautics: The company will supply 12 Su-30MKI aircraft along with associated equipment to the Indian Air Force for Rs 13,500 crore. The Ministry of Defence signed a contract with HAL on Thursday.
Godrej Industries: The company has acquired a 26% stake in its subsidiary, Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions.
Ashok Leyland: The company has received an order worth Rs 346 crore for supplying diesel fuel-type passenger bus chassis to the Tamil Nadu government.

One Mobikwik Systems: The public issue was subscribed to 20.41 times on day 2. The bids were led by retail investors (64.65 times), non-institutional investors (30.07 times), and qualified institutional investors (0.84 times).
Inventurus Knowledge Solutions: The public issue was subscribed to 1.36 times on day 1. The bids were led by retail investors (1.68 times), qualified institutional investors (1.54 times), non-institutional investors (0.79 times), and employee reserved (0.8 times).
International Gemmological Institute (India): The company will offer shares for bidding on Friday. The price band is set from Rs 397 to Rs 417 per share. The Rs 4,225-crore IPO issue is a combination of a fresh issue of Rs 1,475 crore and the rest offered for sale. The company raised Rs 1,900 crores from anchor investors.

Money Market
The Indian rupee closed three paise lower at 84.87 against the US dollar on Thursday. The domestic currency weakened to a record low of 84.88 against the greenback during trade.
The rupee opened flat at 84.85 for the second day in a row, according to Bloomberg data. It had closed at 84.84, after opening at 84.85 on Wednesday.
