Indian equity benchmarks fluctuated shortly after declining in the opening trade. The NSE Nifty 50 fell as much as 0.46% to 24,241 before rising as much as 0.3% to 24,420. The BSE Sensex fell as much as 0.37% or 290 points to 78,203 before increasing as much as 0.3% or 238 points to 78,732.
The US said its military seized an Iranian cargo ship that tried to cross its blockade. Iran said it will not join a second round of peace talks after a warning of renewed airstrikes. Besides, The Strait of Hormuz has been closed again after the US and Iran accused each other of breaking a ceasefire following attacks on ships over the weekend.
The US continues its blockade of Iranian ports, while Iran has reimposed restrictions on the Strait, a key route for global oil flows before the conflict began.
Meanwhile, oil prices jumped on Monday. West Texas Intermediate futures climbed 8.11% to $90.65 a barrel. Brent crude increased 7.21% to $96.90 a barrel. Elsewhere, Asian markets traded mixed. Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 0.76%, while South Korea's Kospi gained 0.98% in early trade. Australia's ASX 200 fell 0.18%.

Stock Market Live: MCX Gains 1.4% After SEBI Nod For Coal Exchange Plan
- Shares of Multi Commodity Exchange of India rose as much as 1.4% to Rs 2,895 after the company received SEBI approval to invest in a proposed coal exchange company.
- MCX will initially hold a 100% stake in the new subsidiary and may later induct strategic partners. The company plans to invest up to Rs 100 crore and will apply for a licence with the Coal Controller Organisation of India.
- The stock has gained 140% in the last 12 months and 29% so far this year.

- Yes Bank shares rose as much as 3.1% to Rs 20.82 after its Q4FY26 results.

- Asset quality improved, with gross NPA ratio falling to 1.3% from 1.5% and net NPA ratio declining to 0.2% from 0.3%. Return on assets improved to 1% from 0.9%.

- Citi maintained its Neutral rating on Concord Biotech and cut the target price to Rs 1,190 from Rs 1,680.
- The brokerage reduced FY26 and FY27 earnings estimates by 20-23%, citing slower growth in both API and formulations revenue.
- Citi said lower sales growth has also led to pressure on EBITDA margins. It now expects FY27-FY28 revenue growth of 14% year-on-year, lower than its earlier forecast of 17-18%.
Stock Market Live: Jio Financial Q4 Profit Falls 14% Despite Revenue Doubling
- Jio Financial Services reported Q4FY26 profit of Rs 272 crore, down 14% year-on-year, while revenue from operations jumped 106% to Rs 1,019 crore. Net interest income rose 28% to Rs 344 crore.
- Finance cost increased sharply and operating expenses rose as the company expanded operations. Pre-provision operating profit fell 13% to Rs 327 crore.
- Key subsidiaries reported growth during the quarter. Jio Credit assets under management rose 156% year-on-year to Rs 25,711 crore, while Jio Payments Bank total income increased to Rs 87 crore from Rs 8 crore a year earlier.

- MCX said SEBI has approved its investment in a proposed Coal Exchange Company, marking a diversification move into the coal market.

- China left its benchmark lending rates unchanged for an 11th consecutive month as policymakers assess the impact of the Middle East conflict, higher oil prices and domestic growth trends.
- The one-year loan prime rate was kept at 3.0%, while the five-year rate, used as a reference for mortgage pricing, remained at 3.5%.
- The decision follows first-quarter economic growth of 5%, up from 4.5% in the previous quarter.

- BHEL withdrew its acceptance of a Letter of Intent for the Anuppur Thermal Power Project and filed a Rs 143 crore recovery suit linked to a supply contract. Zee Entertainment plans to invest Rs 116 crore in Phantom Digital Effects. - Macquarie has a bearish pair trade view on Hindalco Industries, saying the company is in a favourable phase but upside may be limited.
- The brokerage said a 25% rise in aluminium prices this year is already reflected in the stock price. It added that the company’s hedge policy partly limits gains from higher prices.
- Macquarie said current valuations of about 6.7 times September 2027 estimated EV/EBITDA also cap further upside.

- The bank declared a dividend of Rs 12 per share. Management said margins are expected to remain range-bound and deposit growth remains healthy.

- The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 13 per equity share. Management said credit growth momentum should continue, while deposit growth is expected to stay ahead of loan growth.
