Delhi Election 2025: BJP Promises Stipend For Students; Insurance Cover For Domestic Help, Auto, Taxi Drivers
BJP's Delhi election promise says that the capital's youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 for competitive examinations including reimbursement of two-way travel and application fees.

To draw support from young voters and the capital city's auto and taxi drivers, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday announced a slew of promises that forms the 'part two' of its manifesto for the Delhi assembly election 2025.
The party has promised needy students free education from kindergarten to post-graduation in government educational institutions. The announcement was made by senior leader Anurag Thakur at a press conference, just two weeks before election day.
The manifesto also promises that the capital's youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 for competitive examinations including reimbursement of two-way travel and application fees.
Additionally, for technical and professional courses, students who fall in the scheduled caste category will be given a stipend of Rs 1,000 per month under the 'Dr BR Ambedkar Stipend Scheme'.

In the press conference, Thakur also declared that the BJP, if voted to power, will constitue a welfare board for auto and taxi drivers. They will get a life insurance cover of up to Rs 10 lakh as well as accident and vehicle insurance of Rs 5 lakh and scholarship for their children, Thakur said.
Likewise, a welfare board, life insurance of Rs 10 lakh, accident insurance of Rs 5 lakh, scholarship for children and six months of paid maternity leave for domestic workers have also been promised.

In the first manifesto released last week for the Delhi assembly elections, the BJP promised up to Rs 2,500 aid for women under the Mahila Samridhi Yojna, a subsidy of Rs 500 on LPG gas cylinders, and one additional cylinder each on the festive occasions of Holi and Diwali, and a financial assistance of Rs 21,000 for pregnant women.
Delhi will vote on Feb. 5 and those will be counted on Feb. 8.
The BJP is seen as the prime challenger to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, which has been heading the government in Delhi for the last 10 years.
Both AAP and the Congress have also promised a host of welfare measures aimed at attracting women and youth support.
