The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is tipped to be launched at the Unpacked event on July 9. Ahead of its launch, leaked renders of the device have surfaced online.
Android Headlines published leaked device renders in Blue Shadow and Jet Black. It noted that the phone could be available in other colours as well.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner and have a larger display compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The leaked renders seem to confirm this.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will reportedly have a thickness of 3.9 mm to 4.5 mm when unfolded. This will be a significant change from the 5.6 mm thickness, which the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has.
However, Android Headlines says that it is unlikely that the device will have a thickness of 3.9 mm.
It adds that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will likely weigh around 215 g. This would make it 24 g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In fact, it would be 14 g lighter than the thinnest foldable on the market currently, which is the OPPO Find N5.
The gadget will reportedly have a cover display of 6.5 inches, compared to the 6.3 inches on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The inner display could reach 8.2 inches, a significant increase from the 7.6 inches on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Thus, it could have the largest screen among foldables. This can be compared with the 8.12-inch screen on the OPPO Find N5.
According to GSMArena, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be available in three storage trims, namely, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. It notes that the 256 GB and 512 GB variants will come in Jet Black, Silver Shadow and Blue Shadow. The 1 TB version will be available in Jet Black and Blue Shadow colour options.
