Lenovo Group Ltd. and Cisco Systems Inc. have partnered to deliver fully integrated infrastructure and networking solutions designed to accelerate digital transformation for businesses. The two companies signed an agreement to jointly establish design, engineering, and execution plans for digitalisation with networking and purpose-built artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions from edge to cloud for enterprises.
The agreement seeks to enhance the delivery of advanced generative AI capabilities and digital workplace productivity. Lenovo and Cisco intend to create a hyper-personalised user experience that improves operations, reduces time-to-value, and supports the implementation of digital technologies.
“Our combined leadership in advanced networking and end-to-end server and data management infrastructure will deliver fully integrated, co-engineered solutions that seamlessly connect, protect, and analyse data to propel AI-powered innovation for our customers from the edge to the cloud,” said Kirk Skaugen, executive vice president, Lenovo.
The collaboration includes the integration of the Cisco Nexus networking ecosystem into Lenovo's edge-to-cloud portfolio to deliver network performance, fortified security, and scalability. This provides enterprises with an integrated turnkey networking solution that is interoperable with Lenovo infrastructure solutions.
Enterprises will get a single interface to configure, operate and analyse network operations across the networking ecosystem along with AI/machine learning networking and automation analytics practices. The collaboration will also provide organizations with an engineered infrastructure solution from a single technology provider.
"The integrated solutions from Lenovo and Cisco will streamline operational deployment and significantly enhance business outcomes for our shared customers, as well as provide tremendous opportunities for our joint partners," said Jonathan Davidson, executive vice president and general manager, Cisco Networking.
The companies will work to integrate new technologies and features into Lenovo Digital Workplace Solutions to improve the user experience and security. The collaboration will also integrate Lenovo's Care of One platform, with its persona-based service engine, and Cisco's technology.
Cisco and Lenovo will also collaborate as part of the agreement to improve generative AI solutions for enterprises. A network of common channel partners trained in the combined technology portfolio of both companies will provide organisations with more choice and flexibility for digitalisation.
