Apple MacBook Air M4 Launch Likely In March: Analyst

A huge number of upcoming smartphones have literally made the launch of the Apple MacBook Air M4 invisible. And yet, this is a major event for a massive number of people globally for work related content creation as well as entertainment and other purposes.

The newest member of the MacBook Air family is set to launch in March itself, reveals Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman.

Powered by the M4 chip, the MacBook Air is a lighter as well as a more affordable version of the already available MackBook Pro.

Expectations are MacBook Air 13- and 15-inch versions will launch within weeks. Adding to the probability of the launch happening within that timeframe is the fact that inventory of the models currently available are going down and there are no indications that these will replaced. In effect, this signals the arrival of the newer models.

However, since Apple is such a secretive company, getting any information out is next to impossible. The same happened recently when the iPhone 16e was launched. First of all the launch date was wrong by a week. And secondly, everyone was expecting an iPhone SE-type, affordable, smartphone. And yet what rolled out was an expensive iPhone 16e.

However, while most analysts got the pricing wrong, many of the predictions regarding the smaller details actually came true. Whether the same happens in the case of the MacBook Air, remains to be seen.

What is certain though is that the new M4 chip will ensure that the new Air's performance will be faster and users will be able to do more, especially with Apple Intelligence.

Those who want serious work done will have to opt for the bigger version, of course.

The MacBook Air launch is likely to be similar to what Apple did with the iPhone 16e, it will simply roll out a press release and a video to boot.
