The coveted Norway Chess tournament is underway with some of the world’s top grandmasters in action. With six players competing in each men's and women’s event, they will face one another twice in a double round-robin format.
The tournament is a double-round event and consists of 10 rounds. As draws are not allowed, an Armageddon tiebreaker will decide the fate if a classical game initially has no winner.
Despite his early defeat against Magnus Carlsen, world chess champion D Gukesh still has enough chances to bounce back in Norway Chess 2025.
