Motherson Sumi Q4 Results: Profit Jumps 38.3%, Meets Estimates

Motherson Sumi's Q4 consolidated net profit rose 38.3% year-on-year to Rs 191 crore, on the back of revenue that increased 19.3% to Rs 2,233 crore.

Motherson Sumi Wiring India Ltd.'s profit rose in the fiscal fourth quarter, and was in line with the street's expectations.

Consolidated net profit of the Pune-based auto components maker rose 38.3% year-on-year to Rs 191 crore in the quarter-ended March, on the back of revenue that increased 19.3% to Rs 2,233 crore, according to an exchange filing on Thursday.

Analysts polled by Bloomberg had estimated the top line at Rs 2,236 crore and bottom line at Rs 188 crore.

  • Revenue up 19.3% to Rs 2,233 crore (Bloomberg Estimate: Rs 2,236.24 crore).

  • Ebitda up 34.4% to Rs 291 crore (Estimate: Rs 288.58 crore).

  • Ebitda margin expanded to 13% from 11.6% (Estimate: 12.90%).

  • Net profit up 38.3% to Rs 191 crore (Estimate: Rs 187.70 crore).
