The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 12,987 crore in market valuation on Tuesday, with Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.
The market capitalisation of Airtel declined Rs 13,606 crore to Rs 8.98 lakh crore. RIL lost Rs 12,449 crore, with its market cap falling to Rs 17.4 lakh crore.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Larsen and Toubro Ltd. lost Rs 7,091 crore and Rs 3,320 crore respectively. HDFC Bank Ltd. and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. lost Rs 1,449 crore and Rs 798 crore respectively.
The market cap of Infosys Ltd. rose by Rs 10,338 crore to Rs 8.09 lakh crore, while that of State Bank of India gained Rs 9,147 crore to Rs 7.74 lakh crore.
The market cap of ICICI Bank Ltd. gained Rs 5,742 crore to Rs 9.37 lakh crore and ITC Ltd. gained Rs 500 crore to Rs 5.82 lakh crore.
RIL remained the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, HUL, ITC and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The benchmark equity indices ended on a muted note on Tuesday after declining for the past two sessions, with share prices of RIL and Airtel dragging the most.
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 8.95 points or 0.04% down at 24,610.05, while the BSE Sensex settled 1.59 points up at 81,510.05. During the day, the Nifty declined as much as 0.44% to 24,510.65 and the Sensex fell 0.40% to 81,182.69.
Infosys, ICICI Bank, SBI, HCLTech and Shriram Finance Ltd. led the gains in the Nifty. Airtel, RIL, L&T, Axis Bank Ltd. and TCS dragged the index the most.
The market breadth was skewed in favour of the buyers as 2,024 stocks advanced, 1,941 declined and 128 remained unchanged on the BSE.
