Gold prices on Wednesday saw a decline to Rs 97,010 per 10 grams after being Rs 97,280 per 10 grams on Tuesday, as per the Indian Bullion Association.
Some of the major metro cities saw a similar trend on June 11. In Delhi, the price stood at Rs 96,670 per 10 grams after being Rs 96,940 per 10 grams on Tuesday. Gold prices in the financial capital was Rs 96,840 per 10 grams against Rs 97,110; In Kolkata the rate was Rs 96,710 per 10 grams; In Bangalore the prices stood at Rs 96,910. The price for the precious commodity was the highest in Chennai, trading at Rs 97,120 per 10 grams.
The gold rate in the United States saw an uptick to trade in the green at $3,354.80 an ounce.
Gold futures for Aug 5 saw a 0.29% decline to 96,891 according to Multi Commodity Exchange.
Silver
Silver prices on Wednesday stood at Rs 1,07,030 per kg. In the United States silver rates were trading at Rs 36.78 an ounce.
Silver futures for July 4 too saw a decline 0.12% decline to 1,06,623, as per Multi Commodity Exchange. Silver took the centre stage on Thursday evening after July 4 futures for the metal hit a record high at Rs 1,04,947.
