Three people are missing after a coal hopper collapsed at Dalmia Bharat Ltd.'s Rajgangpur cement plant in Odisha's Sundargarh district, the company said on Friday.
The hopper collapsed in the boiler area of the cement factory's captive power plant around 6 p.m., Dalmia Bharat said in a statement.
The incident occurred in the factory when over a dozen labourers were working near the site, according to a PTI report.
The company did not detail any injuries or casualties. "The plant operations team, with the help of the district administration and the state government, is working on rescue operations," the company statement read.
The cement maker said that after the accident, all emergency protocol services were activated, and the area was cordoned off.
At Friday market close, shares of Dalmia Bharat ended 1.36% lower on the BSE.
