Stocks To Watch: TCS, Tata Power, Biocon, Bharat Rasayan, ONGC

Meanwhile, other Asian markets were also trading higher with Japan hitting a three-decade high as investors looked beyond rising coronavirus cases and political unrest in the United States and bet on an economic recovery later in the year.

Here are stocks to watch in Friday's session:

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS): The country's largest information technology company will kick start third quarter corporate earnings season for India Inc. later in the day.

Tata Power: The company has taken over the management and operations of power distribution in western and southern Odisha from January 1 from state-run WESCO and SOUTHCO for consideration of Rs 127.50 crore.

Biocon: Abu Dhabi based ADQ will invest Rs 555 Crore for a 1.80 per cent minority stake in its arm Biocon Biologics valuing it at a post money valuation of $4.17 billion.

Bharat Rasayan: The company informed exchanges that its board will meet on January 12 to consider buyback of shares.

ONGC: The state-run oil exploration company on Thursday approved issuance of up to 15,000 unsecured, listed, redeemable, non-cumulative, taxable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of face value of Rs.10,00,000 at par aggregating to a total issue size of up to Rs.1,500 Crore on a private placement basis to identified investors at the interest rate of 4.50 per cent p.a. payable annually.
