Popular Nepalese rum brand Khukri has officially entered the Indian market, marking a significant expansion for the internationally acclaimed spirit. MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has introduced the rum in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Maharashtra, with plans to extend its reach to ten cities by the end of FY26.
The brand aims to sell 20,000 cases by the same period, reinforcing its ambition to carve a niche in India’s growing premium spirits segment.
Produced by Nepal’s first distillery and revered as the 'rum from the top of the world,' Khukri boasts a 65-year-old Himalayan legacy. Distilled from Nepalese sugarcane and pure Himalayan waters, the rum undergoes a unique aging process in Shorea Robusta casks, imparting exceptional depth and complexity. The launch is expected to elevate India’s rum market by offering a premium alternative rooted in craftsmanship and tradition.
