Larsen & Toubro Construction (L&T), along with partner STEC of China, will start work on the Rs 5,273 crore Mumbai Metro Line 3 project, the company said in a filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The project includes the construction of underground stations at Cuffe Parade, Vidhan Bhavan, Church Gate, Hatutma Chowk, Marol Naka, MIDC and Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ), along with associated tunnels from Cuffe Parade to CST, and from International Airport to SEEPZ.

Work on the project is expected to be completed in 48 months, according to the exchange filing.
Following the announcement, L&T’s shares rose 0.56 percent to Rs 1,574 a piece at 3:20 pm on BSE.
