Akshay Kumar-starrer Entertainment had a strong opening weekend at the box office, earning over Rs 35 crore in the first three days of its release.
Entertainment has so far grossed Rs 36.69 crore net at the domestic box office, said trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet. Entertainment was released across 2800-plus screens in India and over 400 screens overseas, Mr Adarsh added.
The expectations from Entertainment are given that Akshay Kumar's previous release Holiday grossed over Rs 100 crore.
Entertainment has decent weekend, but weekdays are crucial, Mr Adarsh tweeted. Entertainment is directed by debutant duo Sajid-Farhad and produced by Ramesh S Taurani of Tips Industries Ltd and Jayantilal Gada.
Entertainment also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood and Johnny Lever. (With Agency Inputs)
