As of 3:07 p.m., Downdetector logged up to 54 reports in comparison to the baseline of nine reports, showing a significant spike in users with grievances regarding their Airtel internet blackout.
A majority (53%) of the reports on Airtel from the site were about problems with mobile internet, with 25% of the reports mentioning their issue as 'no signal' and 22% dealing with problems with their landline internet.
Users said they felt "helpless" and many tagged the telecommunication company's social media handle to bring its attention to the matter. Some reported that the company was not responding to requests from customers to fix the issue.
They also shared their personal contact information and locations in hopes that they may have their issues addressed and resolved as soon as possible.
Others reported facing poor connectivity in their localities. Users also complained that the company's chat bot was inadequate in addressing their problems, giving replies like, "It seems you're not connected to the internet. Try to reconnect your device and chat later."

The services were subsequently restored by the firm, which Airtel confirmed via text message to their users.
