AirAsia has announced a promotional offer on tickets booked till August 10 and travel period between September 5, 2014, and October 25, 2014.
Under this offer, all-in fares in the Bangalore-Goa-Chennai-Kochi route starts from Rs 1,450. On the Bangalore-Jaipur and Bangalore-Chandigarh routes, tickets start from an all-in Rs 3,999.
From September 5, AirAsia India will start flights from Bangalore to Jaipur and Bangalore to Chandigarh. This would be the budget carrier's first push into north India. Currently, it operates flights from Bangalore to Goa, Chennai and Kochi.
Mittu Chandilya, CEO of AirAsia India, in a recent tweet said that the airline has not yet finanlised the next route expansion. "Excited about Chandigarh and Jaipur. Not done yet-off finalizing next set of destinations," he said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Jet Airways on Tuesday extended its special economy class fare offer by two more days. The airline had on July 31 launched a pan-India sales scheme, offering fares as low as Rs 1,499 on all its economy class domestic networks. Originally, the offer was to end on Tuesday, August 5. But the 2-day special fare offer will now be available for sale from August 6 to August 7, with travel effective from September 1 onwards for flights within India, Jet Airways said in a release.
