Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Union Budget 2024 on Tuesday, in which Rs 6.22 lakh crore has been allocated for defence spending.
This marks a 4.79% rise from last year's outlay of Rs 5.94 lakh crore, and makes for 12.9% of the total budget.
