Car Launches In March 2025: Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Tata Harrier EV Among Top Vehicles To Hit Market

Following a mixed performance in Feb. 2025, automakers are expecting that the Union Budget 2025 reforms on direct income tax will help gradually drive demand.

Big car launches are lined up in March, with automakers hoping to see a rise in sales buoyed by a potentially stronger consumer sentiment. This comes as the ongoing tight economic conditions have impacted the auto sales with cautious spending sentiments hurting the purchase of discretionary products.

Following a mixed performance in Feb. 2025, automakers are expecting that the Union Budget 2025 reforms on direct income tax will help gradually drive demand. In the Budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had slashed taxes for income up to Rs 12 lakh and revised tax slabs for incomes beyond.

In February, the slowdown in the market continued, with demand remaining muted. Among big guns, leading passenger vehicle (PV) maker Maruti Suzuki reported marginal growth. However, Hyundai and Tata Motors posted a decline in their sales.
