US President Donald Trump on Monday came down heavily on the Supreme Court and vowed to use 'other tariffs' and licenses to do absolutely 'terrible' things to foreign countries.

The remark comes a day after Trump increased initially announced global tariffs from 10 percent to 15 percent after the top court's verdict on his sweeping tariffs.

Terming the Supreme Court's verdict as ridiculous, dumb, and very internationally divisive, in a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that the apex court has accidentally and unwittingly given him far more powers and strength as the President of the United States, than he had before tariffs verdict.

"For one thing, I can use licenses to do absolutely “terrible” things to foreign countries, especially those countries that have been ripping us off for many decades," said Trump.

The US President said that the court has also approved all other tariffs, of which there are many, and they can all be used in a much more powerful and obnoxious way, with legal certainty, than the tariffs as initially used.

"Our incompetent supreme court did a great job for the wrong people, and for that they should be ashamed of themselves (but not the Great Three!)."

The 'Great Three' Trump referred to are Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, who dissented from the verdict. Trump has also termed them his new heroes.

Kavanaugh, who in a dissenting note said that the tariffs are clearly lawful, had also pointed out section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 permits the President to impose tariffs when he finds that “any foreign country places any burden or disadvantage upon the commerce of the United States.”

Meanwhile, taking a swipe at the apex court, Trump said, "Let our supreme court keep making decisions that are so bad and deleterious to the future of our nation — I have a job to do."

Earlier, slamming the apex court, Trump said that those members of the Supreme Court who voted against the acceptable and proper method of tariffs should be ashamed of themselves. "Their decision was ridiculous but, now the adjustment process begins, and we will do everything possible to take in even more money than we were taking in before!"

Trump has also said that his administration will determine and issue the new and legally permissible tariffs during the next few months.
