A new website in Israel is claiming to help civilians decide the safest time to take a shower during ongoing rocket and drone attacks from Iran, according to a report by NDTV.
As Iran continues to target Israel with kamikaze drones and ballistic missiles, the website analyses patterns of recent rocket fire and estimates “safe windows” during which residents can bathe with a lower risk of having to rush to a bomb shelter.
The platform reportedly uses both historical information and live updates related to the Iranian campaign to make its calculations. Based on its current data, the website states that 5:30 am is the safest time for a shower, as the frequency of Iranian attacks is at its lowest at that hour.

In Israel, the Home Front Command is responsible for issuing alerts about rocket fire, hostile aircraft, and sometimes even earthquakes. These alerts inform civilians to move quickly to bunkers or protected spaces to avoid potential harm from missiles or drones that may get past the country's air defence systems.

Israeli law has required since 1992 that every home must have access to a protected area. Many modern homes include a Mamad, which is a reinforced private room within the apartment. Other buildings have a Mamak, which is a shared protected space located on each floor. The website has received attention on social media, with several users saying it addresses a small but real issue during wartime.

A user talking about the website on ‘X' wrote, “Israelis crack me up. Someone built an app that estimates how safe it is to take a shower. If a siren sounds, you don't want to be running to a shelter soaking wet and covered in soap. The app analyzes recent patterns of rocket fire to estimate the safest time of day to shower.”
One user claimed, "It's legit useful! I've been in shelters with neighbours wrapped in a towel who had been mid-shower!"
Another commented, "Having been caught in that situation a few days ago and getting dressed so fast I put my clothes on backwards, I appreciate this!"
A third user said, "It may sound funny but is absolutely useful. It is relatively cold to run out wrapped in a towel. Water running also makes it difficult to hear alarms going off."
According to the report, since February 28, Iranian ballistic missile strikes have killed at least 11 people in Israel and injured more than 1,000 others to different degrees.
Recently, Israeli military officials said that Iran fired ballistic missiles carrying cluster munitions towards Israeli territory, marking what they described as the first reported use of such weapons in the current war.
