Law enforcement authorities in Russia have initiated a criminal investigation after a circus tiger entered the spectator area during a performance in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don, causing panic among the audience, Moscow Times reported.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries or casualties.
The incident took place during a live show where three tigers and two trainers were present inside the performance ring, as seen in eyewitness videos shared by local media.
Visuals of the incident went viral on social media platforms.

According to the visuals, the barrier that separated the animals from the audience collapsed, following which one of the tigers crossed over into the seating area.
Videos from the scene showed the tiger moving through rows of seats while spectators attempted to move away from the animal. In another video, a trainer was seen trying to guide the tiger away from the audience and towards an exit along the back rows, while families, including those with young children, remained in the area.
During the incident, an announcement was made over the loudspeaker, stating, "Dear visitors, please stay calm, otherwise the situation may worsen."
Trainers later managed to guide the tiger into a secure transportation container, bringing the situation under control. According to local officials, no injuries were reported among the spectators.

Following the incident, the Investigative Committee of Russia said on Monday that it has launched a criminal probe into possible safety violations related to the incident.
Reacting to the video a social media user wrote, “The tiger didn't want to eat, just escape from the fright.”
“Leave the animals alone, he wants to be freeeee,” appealed another.
Another appreciated the cameraman, saying, “smartest cameraman on earth.”
