Darrell Sheets, best known for his appearance on the reality series Storage Wars, has passed away at the age of 67. He was found dead at his home in Lake Havasu City on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Police said they reached his house around 2 a.m. after getting a call about a deceased person.
When they arrived, they found a man with what looked like a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead at the scene and later identified as Darrell Sheets. His body has been sent to the medical examiner for further checks. Officials have stated that the case remains under active investigation.
Investigation And Cyberbullying Claims
While early reports suggest suicide, police are also looking into other claims that have come up after his death. There are reports that Sheets may have been facing cyberbullying in the days before he died.
His Storage Wars co-star Rene Nezhoda shared a message online saying Sheets had recently been “tormented” by someone. He also asked people to take cyberbullying seriously. Officials have not confirmed these claims but said they are part of the ongoing investigation.
His Journey On Television
Sheets became a fan favourite on Storage Wars, appearing in over 160 episodes between 2010 and 2023. Known by his nickname “The Gambler,” he built a reputation for taking bold risks during storage unit auctions. Over the years, he made headlines for uncovering valuable items, including rare artwork and high-value collectibles.

Health Issues And Retirement
In recent years, Sheets had stepped away from the spotlight following health challenges. In 2019, he suffered a heart attack and later revealed that he was dealing with congestive heart failure and serious lung issues. After retiring in 2023, he moved to Arizona and started an antique shop called “Havasu Show Me Your Junk.”
