Redmi has officially announced that the Redmi A7 Pro 5G will launch in India on April 13. The company made the announcement today, confirming that the smartphone will arrive later this month as the 5G version of the A7 Pro, which was recently launched in global markets. Redmi has begun teasing key features of the upcoming smartphone, positioning it as a strong contender in its segment with leading specs.
Redmi A7 Pro 5G Specs And Features Teased
The handset is expected to feature the “largest and smoothest” display in its category. The display size is tipped to be 6.9 inch, although this hasn't been officially confirmed by Redmi.
One of the standout features of the device is its battery. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is confirmed to pack a big 6,300mAh cell, which Redmi claims will be the largest battery among all 6.9-inch phones in this segment.
Redmi's teasers also indicate that the phone will be powered by an octa-core 5G processor, though the specific chipset model hasn't been revealed yet. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G will run on HyperOS 3, which is built on Android 16, with features like Xiaomi HyperIsland. It will come equipped with some useful AI capabilities, including Google's Circle to Search and a Gemini voice assistant for smarter interactions.
For photography, the device is teased to include a 32MP dual AI rear camera array, in addition to AI-powered capabilities for image processing. The company has also teased that endurance will be a key highlight, although any confirmed military-grade certifications haven't been shared.
