Realme has confirmed that the Realme 16 5G will launch in India soon, following its debut in select global markets — including Vietnam — in January. On Monday (March 23), the brand shared its first official teaser, showcasing the phone's design and the platform where it will be available. Realme is promoting it as India's first “Selfie Mirror Phone,” and its global specifications are already known. The exact launch date for the Realme 16 5G in India, however, remains unannounced and may be teased in the coming days.
Realme 16 5G Launching Soon; Camera Details Revealed
The brand has described the Realme 16 5G as India's first “Selfie Mirror Phone,” thanks to a unique integrated mirror in the rear camera array. The selfie mirror lets users preview shots in real time using the main rear cameras for better selfies and group photos.
In one post, the Realme 16 5G can be seen in a white shade variant. It has a pill shaped horizontal camera bar covered in glass across the back, evoking the aesthetics of the Google Pixel 10. It has a dual rear camera setup, alongside a round “selfie mirror.”
Another teaser video shows users “twisting” the phone towards the rear to take a selfie. Additionally, the brand has confirmed that the Realme 16 5G will be available via Flipkart, and the e-commerce platform also has a microsite live for the device.
Realme 16 5G Specs, Features, Price
The global version of Realme 16 5G, which launched earlier, comes equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset and runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. Power is derived from a big 7,000mAh battery supporting 60W wired fast charging and reverse charging.
The Realme 16 5G sports a 6.57-inch full HD+ Amoled display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and gets IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. On the optics front, it has a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP monochrome lens, paired with a 50MP front sensor.
The Realme 16 5G launched in Vietnam at VND 11,490,000 (around Rs 40,000) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, with the 12GB + 256GB variant at VND 12,490,000 (approximately Rs 44,000). It comes in Black Cloud and White Swan colourways.
