iPhone 17 Air Leak: Check Display, Camera, And More On This 'Slimmest Apple iPhone Ever'
Apple is expected to replace its 'Plus' iPhone model. The likely candidate is being referred to as iPhone 17 Air. Just check out this 'slim' smartphone's size, display, camera, and more.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the "slimmest iPhone ever", but new leaks indicate that its camera bump could be pronounced. According to well-known tipster Ice Universe, the device’s camera bump will measure 4.4 mm. This, when combined with the phone's expected 5.5 mm overall thickness, would take the total thickness to 9.5 mm in areas where the rear camera is located, reported Android Headlines. The iPhone will likely pack a 48-megapixel main camera, but may not have telephoto zoom capabilities.
In January this year, Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested that the iPhone 17 Air would be 5.5 mm thick at its slimmest point. Kuo has even mentioned that the ultra-thin iPhone 17 model will enter mass production in the second half of 2025.
Before Kuo’s prediction, in November 2024, Apple analyst Jeff Pu had speculated that the iPhone 17 Air would be 6 mm thick.
These contrasting predictions highlight the uncertainty surrounding the final design as Apple remains tight-lipped about the iPhone 17 Air.
iPhone 17 Air to have elongated camera island?
In addition to its slim design, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to introduce a new camera layout.
Reports suggest that Apple may opt for an elongated camera island similar to those seen on Google’s Pixel phones. This design could house a single rear camera on the left side, with an LED flash and microphone on the right.
The display size of the iPhone 17 Air is also a topic of discussion, with leaks pointing to a screen measuring between 6.6 and 6.7 inches. If accurate, this would place it between the standard iPhone 17 (6.3 inches) and the iPhone 17 Pro Max (6.9 inches).
iPhone 17 Air's dimensions
While Ice Universe claims that the iPhone 17 Air’s size will closely resemble the Pro Max model apart from its thickness, other sources dispute this claim.
Given that the device is not expected to launch before September 2025, more details will emerge in the coming months, either confirming or contradicting these speculations.
For now, Apple enthusiasts and industry experts will be keeping a close watch on further leaks and reports to see how the iPhone 17 Air shapes up.
