Computex 2025: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Threatens Nvidia RTX 5060; Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, Intel GPUs And More

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, its next-generation mobile chipset, in a bid to enhance performance and efficiency of smartphones and tablets and boost AI processing.

The Computex 2025 in Taipei is continuing to witness a slew of tech previews and announcements from majors such as AMD, Qualcomm, MSI, Intel and more. Here are the major innovations unveiled at the show.

AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT And Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPUs, Threadripper Pro 9000 Processors

Taking on the Nvidia RTX 5060, AMD announced the powerful yet reasonable Radeon RX 9060 XT gaming GPU, which will launch on June 5. The GPU has RDNA 4 architecture and delivers 1440p gaming with FSR 4 ML-enhanced upscaling, and accelerated ray tracing. The 8GB version will cost $299 and the 16GB version $360.

The Radeon AI PRO R9700 is built on RDNA 4 architecture with second-generation AMD AI accelerators. With 32GB of graphics memory and PCIe Gen 5 support, it's designed for local AI inference, model finetuning and creative workloads.

AMD also unveiled the fast Threadripper Pro 9000 series processors. The top-line processor in the series offers 96 cores and 192 threads, ideal for visual effects, simulation and AI, with up to 384MB of L3 cache and 128 lanes of PCIe 5.0 connectivity.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, its next-generation mobile chipset, in a bid to enhance performance and efficiency of smartphones and tablets and boost AI processing. The SoC integrates the neural processing unit architecture for heavy AI operations, and might launch later this year.

MSI’s 500Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor

MSI showcased its 500Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor at Computex, which ensures that picture quality and brightness stay right up there even as the high refresh rate improves speed.

To avoid burn-in, OLED Care 2.0 and 3.0 have Pixel Shift, which moves pixels regularly, and Panel Protect, which does a Pixel Refresh when the display has been on for over four hours.

Gigabyte’s AI-Powered Solutions

Gigabyte unveiled a number of AI-powered hardware and software. These include AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX to improve laptop performance for AI, gaming, and creative projects; AI TOP ATOM, a compact supercomputer with Nvidia's GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip under the hood; AI TOP Utility 4.0 software suite; and GiMATE AI assistant for gaming laptops.

Intel's New GPUs For AI, Workstations

Intel released Arc Pro B60 and B50 graphics processing units for workstations and AI inferencing. The expansion of the Arc Pro family includes larger memory configurations and more software support.

Intel also announced Gaudi 3 AI Accelerators offering scalable solutions for enterprise and cloud AI inferencing, plus Intel AI Assistant Builder, which helps developers create local, purpose-built AI agents.
