Jos Buttler added another milestone to his already decorated T20 career, becoming the first non-West Indies batter to smash 600 sixes in the format. The Englishman reached the landmark during Gujarat Titans's (GT) clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Dehli on April 8.
Only four batters have breached the 600-sixes mark in T20 cricket, and all four have been Carribean power-hitters. Buttler hit five sixes during his 52-run innings in match 14 of the IPL 2026 season.
Chris Gayle (1,056), Kieron Pollard (982), Andre Russel (784) and Nicholas Pooran (712) are the only other batters ahead of Buttler.
Buttler was at his destructive best with GT targetting their first victory of the IPL season. The GT no. 3 smashed 3 fours 5 sixes during his 27-ball stay, doing the bulk of the scoring in a 60-run partnership with his captain Shubman Gill, who was happy to hand over responsibility and enjoy the show from the other end.

Gill contributed just 7 runs, while Buttler scored at a strike-rate of 192. He was finally deceived in the 8th over by a Kuldeep Yadav delivery that stayed low and crashed into the stumps as Buttler looked to pull.
His first half-century of the season, along with fifties from Gill (70) and Washington Sundar (55) helped GT post 210/4 against the Capitals.
Buttler is closely followed by England teammate Alex Hales (595) on the list for most T20 sixes, coming from behind to beat him to the exclusive 600 mark.
Buttler has 175 sixes in just 155 matches for England, also holding the record for being the first Englisman to hit 150 sixes in T20Is.
In the IPL, the wicket-keeper batter has hit 192 sixes in 124 matches spread across his time with Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and now Gujarat Titans.
