P&G Hygiene And Health Care Declares Rs 110 Dividend Per Share, Q2 Profit Rises
Procter & Gamble Hygiene's dividend is to be paid on or before March 7, 2025.
Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd.'s board of directors approved the payment of an interim dividend of Rs 110 per share, with a face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2025.
The firm has set Feb. 20, 2025 as record date for payment of the dividend to the eligible shareholders, as per an exchange filing on Tuesday. The payment is to be made on or before March 7, 2025.
The consumer health product's net profit rose 17% for its second quarter of the fiscal, surpassing analysts' estimates.
The firm's net profit rose to Rs 269 crore in the December quarter in comparison to Rs 229 crore in the year-ago period. Analysts tracked by Bloomberg reported a consensus estimate of Rs 239 crore in net profit.
The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose to Rs 371 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 310 crore in the year-ago period, beating the estimate of Rs 319 crore. The margin expanded to 29.7% from 27.3%.

Ebitda up 20% to Rs 370.93 crore versus Rs 309.79 crore (Bloomberg estimate: Rs 319.4 crore).
Margin at 29.7% versus 27.3% (Bloomberg Estimate: 26.20%).

Shares of P&G Hygiene And Health Care closed 1.54% lower at Rs 14,151.45 apiece on the NSE, compared to a 1.32% decline in the benchmark Nifty. It has fallen 15.82% in the last 12 months.
Two analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' rating on the stock, and one recommends 'hold', according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' consensus price target implies a potential upside of 17%.
