IPL Auction 2022 Highlights: Ishan Kishan, Avesh Khan Top Picks On Day 1
Here are all the highlights from Day 1 of the Tata IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

Day 1 of the mega auction for IPL 2022 saw Indian talent going for the biggest bids, with Ishan Kishan becoming the top buy after Mumbai Indians paid Rs 15.25 crore for acquiring his services.
On the other hand, veterans such as Steve Smith and Suresh Raina were among the 23 that failed to find a team. As many as 74 players were bagged by different teams, of which 20 are overseas players.
Franchisees will continue building their teams for the second day, with experienced campaigners such as Ajinkya Rahane, Eoin Morgan and Ishant Sharma set to go under the hammer.

Here's How The Franchises' Purses Look
After spending more than Rs 388 crore collectively through the first day of the 2022 IPL Mega Auction, Punjab Kings have the most amount left and Lucknow Super Giants are left with only Rs 6.9 crore.
Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals will most probably tread lightly on Sunday, Feb. 13 to get the best bang for the least buck.
Towards the end of the day's auction, six out of 10 teams were left with less than 20 crore.
