After that, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of various road projects, including the road widening project on National Highway-701 from Rafiabad to Kupwara. He will also preside over the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Shopian bypass road on NH-444. The two projects are worth over Rs 1,952 crore.

The foundation stone of the first medical college in Reasi district, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence in Katra, will also be laid by Modi. The 350 crore project is expected to contribute substantially to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
Chenab Railway Bridge: Key Details
The project is a significant milestone for India. It will serve as a crucial link between Bakkal and Kauri in the Reasi district. A part of the USBRL project, the bridge will reduce existing travel time between Katra and Srinagar by two to three hours, if one takes the Vande Bharat trains.
The Chenab Railway Bridge has been built to withstand temperature extremes ranging from -10°C to 40°C. It can face wind speeds of up to 266 km/hr.
PM Modi was earlier set to inaugurate the bridge in April, but the visit was postponed.
