On the Chaturthi Tithi, or the fourth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha, Vinayak Chaturthi is observed.

Margashirsha Vinayak Chaturthi 2022: Date, Time, Mahurat

The Hindu calendar specifies that the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the Marshish month will begin on November 26, 2022, at 7.28 p.m., and end on November 27, 2022, at 4.25 p.m. Vinayaka Chaturthi Vrat will be observed on November 27, 2022, a Sunday. It is also known as Varad Vinayaka Chaturthi. 

On November 27, the auspicious hour for worship is between 11.06 and 1.12 a.m. Worshiping during an opportune period is considered to grant all wishes.

Significance Of Vinayak Chaturthi

According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Ganesha is revered above all other gods and is known for removing all difficulties from people's lives. Vighnaharta is another name for Lord Ganesha. On Vinayaka Chaturthi, it is claimed that fasting removes all barriers in life and brings happiness and good fortune.

On this auspicious day, many worshippers hold fasts and offer prayers in order to honour and satisfy Lord Ganesha. The fast is typically performed to rid one's life of any negative influences. Additionally, on this day, worshippers make an effort to please Lord Ganesha in order to live happy and prosperous lives. People who are experiencing difficulties in their lives are said to need to follow this fast and give laddo, modak, clothing, and other goodies to Lord Ganesha.
