According to NDTV, the three terrorists killed under Operation Mahadev were foreign nationals and "high-value targets". They were eliminated in a joint operation that involved the Indian Army, along with the CRPF and J&K Police.
The development comes amid the ongoing debate over Operation Sindoor in the Parliament.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 to target terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir in early May, as a retaliation against the terror attack in Pahalgam in the preceding month that claimed the lives of 26 persons.
Operation Sindoor was followed by nearly a week-long tensions between the Indian and Pakistan forces along the border. A ceasefire was agreed upon between the two countries on May 10.
