Heatwave To Continue Over North And West India Till Friday: IMD

Heatwaves are likely to continue over the northern and western parts of the country from Tuesday to Friday, according to data from the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday.
The regions expected to be affected by strong heatwaves include isolated parts of east and west Rajasthan, where the conditions are expected to persist until Friday.
Heatwave conditions are likely to persist over East Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday, Punjab from Tuesday to Friday.
Other regions that will see heatwaves include Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh from Tuesday to Thursday.
Hot and humid weather is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on Tuesday, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Warm night conditions are likely to show up in isolated pockets over Punjab, Haryana on Tuesday and Wednesday, West Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, Rajasthan during Tuesday to Thursday.

South India and some parts of west India are expected to see rainfall (from light to very heavy) in many regions from Tuesday to Monday.
Isolated heavy rainfall is likely to fall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe as well as Coastal Andhra Pradesh from Tuesday to Friday, Karnataka on Tuesday and Thursday and Lakshadweep on Friday and Saturday.
Extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Kerala and Mahe from Saturday to Monday, Coastal Karnataka during Thursday to Monday, South Interior Karnataka from Thursday to Saturday and over North Interior Karnataka on Friday , Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on Saturday and Sunday.
Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Madhya Maharashtra on Tuesday and Wednesday, Marathawada from Wednesday to Saturday.
Very heavy rainfall may show up on Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra from Thursday to Monday with extremely heavy rainfall likely over Konkan and Goa on Friday and Saturday.
