In January, Nilesh Gupta, managing director of Vijay Sales, shared in an NDTV interview that air purifier sales showed a year-on-year increase, with Delhi emerging as the leading market.

While Delhi continues to dominate air purifier sales, Mumbai has also shown growth, albeit from a smaller base. "In Mumbai, only people who have respiratory issues, doctor recommendations or heightened health consciousness tend to buy air purifiers," Gupta said.

Sales to commercial buyers are limited, with families accounting for most purchases. According to Gupta, Dyson and Philips lead in performance within this segment.
