Jefferies maintained its Buy rating on HDFC Bank with a target price of Rs 1,050, noting that the appointments could be followed by a renewal of CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan's tenure and reiterated that HDFC Bank remains one of its top banking picks.

Kotak Institutional Equities echoed a similar view, not viewing the resignation of Axis Bank CFO Puneet Sharma or Bandhan Bank CFO Rajeev Mantri as negative developments for the respective banks.

Stock Market News Today Live Updates: The trade agreement between India and the United States is within touching distance of the finish line, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said on Tuesday, describing the deal as virtually complete even as a few outstanding items continue to be worked through.

Speaking at the IX US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Leadership Summit 2026 in Washington DC, Gor said the agreement had advanced further than most anticipated.

"That trade deal, we thought was done, until the Supreme Court decided to have it underway. And so we continue to pursue that, and we are very close... Most of this deal is complete. There's a few items that are made for both sides, but it's in the last 1-2% of that deal," he said.

However, with monthly expiry due today, he expects heightened volatility and sharp intraday swings as expiry-related position adjustments and options unwinding could amplify market moves.

Technically, Udani sees the 23,900–24,000 zone as a key support area, while 24,200–24,300 remains the immediate resistance range. He believes a breakout on either side will determine the market's next directional move. Given the expiry setup, he advises traders to avoid aggressive positions at the open and instead focus on disciplined, level-based trading, with price action around key support and resistance likely to offer the best opportunities.

Stock Market News Today Live Updates: Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has signed a share purchase and subscription agreement with Mundi, a subsidiary of Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), the terminal arm of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), to sell a 49% stake in Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt. Ltd. (AVPPL).

The transaction values the Vizhinjam Port at $2.85 billion, with TiL committing a total investment of $1.4 billion for the stake.

Under the agreement, $539 million will be paid towards the initial acquisition of the 49% stake, while the remaining $858 million will be invested towards the port's expansion by December 2028. APSEZ will retain a 51% stake, continue to hold majority control of the board, and AVPPL will remain a consolidated subsidiary of Adani Ports.

Speaking to ANI, Lee Seong-ho, South Korea's Ambassador to India, said the two countries have identified these sectors as areas of mutual interest following recent discussions between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul.
