Indices End Lower

Benchmark indices ended Monday's session in the red with NSE Nifty 50 closing 2.50 points, or 0.01% lower at 22,545.05, while the BSE Sensex closed 10.31 points or 0.01% higher at 74,612.43.

Top Losers

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto and Coal India weighed on the Nifty the most.

Sectoral Performance

Six out of the 12 sectors on the NSE declined, with the Nifty Media falling the most.

Broader Markets

The NSE Midcap and Smallcap indices ended mixed on Monday. Nifty Midcap 150 rose 0.16% and Nifty Smallcap 250 declined 0.64%.

Market Breadth

The market breadth was skewed in favour of the sellers as 2,847 stocks declined, 1,237 advanced and 150 remained unchanged on the BSE.
