After months of delay, EPFO is finally in the process of crediting all the EPF account holders with their due interest. When enquired about the pending interest, EPFO, from their official Twitter handle, replied to a user on October 31, 2022. The tweet stated that the process is going on and the interest will be soon reflected in the users' accounts. It was also mentioned, “Whenever the interest is credited, it will be paid in full.”
The process of crediting interest is ongoing and it will get reflected into your account soon. Whenever the interest is credited, it will be paid in full. There will be no loss of interest.
October 31, 2022Earlier, on October 5, a similar notion was expressed by the Finance Ministry on Twitter where they clarified that there will be no loss of interest for any EPF account holder.

Via The EPFO Website
Go to https://www.epfindia.gov.in/.
Click on the “Services” tab right next to the ‘Home' icon on the top left section of your screen.
Now, from the drop-down menu, click on the “For Employees” tab.
A separate page for employees will open up. Scroll down a little and click on “Member Passbook” in the services section on the left of your screen.
Now a new tab will open with the sign-in window to check EPF Passbook & Claim Status. Enter your Universal Account Number(UAN) allotted by EPFO and your account password.
Then enter the captcha or math equation and click on “Login”.
You will then be directed to your EPF account page. Now, if you have multiple employers, you will see an option to “Select MEMBER ID”. Choose your Member ID and go ahead. However, if you have only a single employer, you will automatically be taken to the next step.
Now you will see three options namely, “View Passbook [NEW: YEARLY]”, “View Claim Status” and “View Passbook [OLD: FULL ]”. Click on the first or third option to view your preferred passbook status.
Now you can view your passbook on your laptop/computer screen. Click on “Download Passbook” and then “Download File” to download an offline copy of your passbook.
Via The Umang App
Download and open the UMANG app on your phone.
Log in with your credentials or register with your mobile number if you're a new user.
Since you're already registered with EPFO, you can then log in either with an MPIN or by entering an OTP.
Now, click on the “All Services” tab at the bottom of your screen.
Now scroll and select EPFO.
Under the “Employee Centric Services” click on the “View Passbook” tab.
Now enter your UAN into the pop-up and wait for an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and click on Submit.
Select the Member ID of the company for which you want to check your EPF balance(in this case your latest employer).
That's it, your passbook will be shown on the screen along with your current EPF balance.

Via SMS
Another way you can check your EPFO balance is via SMS. Simply send an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. The format for sending the SMS will be as follows:
‘EPFOHO UAN ENG'
In this SMS, the last three characters 'ENG' represents the language in which you want to receive your balance details. So if you want it in any other language, simply write the first three alphabets of that language. Soon, you'll receive an SMS with your balance details. However, here you will only get details of the overall balance amount and not the particular financial year.
Via Missed Call
A last and final way to check your EPF balance is by sending a missed call to 011-22901406 or 9966044425. Similar to the SMS facility, after the missed call you will be sent a message with your EPF balance details. However, as in the previous case, you will get the overall balance, not that of the particular financial year.
