- Oil India Ltd reported a 72.9% rise in net profit to Rs 3,630 crore in Q1FY27

- EBITDA jumped 76.6% to Rs 5,793 crore with margin expanding to 46.3% from 35.3%
Oil India Ltd. reported a 72.9% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 3,630 crore in the April-June period, compared with Rs 2,100 crore in the preceding quarter.
Revenue from operations increased 34.5% sequentially to Rs 12,503 crore, from Rs 9,293 crore in the March quarter. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation jumped 76.6% to Rs 5,793 crore, compared with Rs 3,281 crore previously.
The EBITDA margin expanded to 46.3% from 35.3%, showing a sharp improvement in operating profitability.
Oil India's crude oil business remained the biggest contributor to its operating performance. According to the BSE Exchange Filings, in Q1FY27, the company reported crude oil revenue of Rs 6,120.84 crore, sharply higher than Rs 3,311.60 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The segment's profit before tax and interest also rose to Rs 2,998.64 crore from Rs 969.85 crore, showing how strongly the crude oil business supported the quarter.

Natural gas revenue, meanwhile, stood at Rs 1,526.58 crore, compared with Rs 1,469.30 crore a year earlier. Its segment result increased to Rs 647.93 crore from Rs 482.55 crore.
On the production front, Oil India Limited produced 1,47,159 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) on March 26, 2026, highlighting the scale of its oil and gas production operations.
The company is also targeting higher domestic production through increased exploration and development spending.
In today's trading session, Oil India shares closed at Rs 438.80 on August 7, down 1.17%. The stock touched an intraday high of Rs 451.85 and a low of Rs 437.10.
Over the past six months, the stock has fallen 10.46%, or Rs 51.25, from Rs 490.05 to Rs 438.80.
