The new poster, titled Operation Dhurandhar, shows Ranveer Singh in an action look and has drawn attention online. The film will be distributed in Japan by TWIN Co., Ltd., the company that also released RRR in the market.
The poster also carries the text "Gully Boy" Ranveer Singh and "K.G.F: Chapter 2" Sanjay Dutt. Social media users said the references may help introduce both actors through films already known in Japan.
A short trailer for the Japanese release was also unveiled by the distributor.

A Reddit discussion on the Japan launch drew mixed reactions from viewers. Some backed the film's chances, while others questioned how far it could go in the market.
"The first part actually just might do really well," one user wrote.

Its sequel, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, is currently running in theatres and has added to the franchise's box office standing among top-grossing Indian films.
