Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' Brings Together 10,000+ Crew Members For Grand Mythological Epic

Ramayana is already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious films ever made in Indian cinema, and the latest update about the project's massive scale has only added to the excitement.

The upcoming mythological epic, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, has reportedly brought together more than 10,000 crew members from different parts of the world, making it the biggest Indian film production in terms of workforce.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film is being made on a huge scale with large sets, advanced visual effects and international-level production planning. Reports suggest that experts from several countries have joined the project across departments such as action design, costumes, production design and VFX.

Star Cast And Big Vision

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana. Yash is also attached to the film as one of the producers through his banner Monster Mind Creations.

The project is backed by Prime Focus Studios along with the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG, which is known for working on several Hollywood films. The makers are planning the film as a global cinematic event with a worldwide IMAX release.

Ranbir Kapoor Speaks About Playing Rama

During a special event in New York after the release of the film's first glimpse, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the responsibility of playing Lord Rama. The actor said, “As an actor, my Dharma is to do my job in the best way possible with honesty and truthfulness.”

He further added, “There's a beautiful saying in our scriptures which translates to ‘Dharma protects those who uphold it.' As an artist, it is my job to honestly approach my work with the responsibility of hundreds and billions of Indians and other cultures who are going to see this film.”
