The Met Gala will return on May 4, 2026, bringing fashion's biggest night back to its iconic setting at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The annual fundraiser, hosted by Anna Wintour, marks the opening of the Costume Institute's spring exhibition—and this year's theme promises to blur the boundaries between style and fine art.

The exhibition will feature nearly 400 objects, placing historic and contemporary garments alongside paintings, sculptures and other artworks spanning over 5,000 years. Located in the museum's new Condé M. Nast Galleries near the Great Hall, the showcase explores how designers across eras have shaped and reimagined the human form through clothing.

Curated by Andrew Bolton, the evening will bring together influential figures from music, cinema, sport and fashion and will be led by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, Anna Wintour, and members of the Gala Host Committee—co-chaired by Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz—include Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, LISA, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, A'ja Wilson, and Yseult.
