Actor Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohail Kathuria have officially ended their marriage after four years. The couple was granted a divorce by the Bandra Family Court on Wednesday following a petition filed for separation by mutual consent.
According to reports, Hansika approached the court seeking a mutual divorce and chose not to claim any alimony as part of the settlement. The decision was finalised after both parties submitted affidavits confirming that they had no financial claims or demands against each other.
During the court proceedings, Hansika Motwani was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh, who explained that the couple initially lived together for a short period after their marriage. However, over time, they realised that there were major differences in their temperament, lifestyle choices and personal views, which often led to disagreements.
The petition filed before the court stated that the couple frequently argued over minor issues, making it increasingly difficult for them to continue living under the same roof. Despite several attempts by family members, relatives and close friends to resolve their differences, the relationship reportedly could not be repaired.
Eventually, both Hansika and Sohail mutually decided to separate and move forward with divorce proceedings. According to the petition, the two had already been living separately since July 2, 2024, before formally deciding to end their marriage.
