Actress Celina Jaitly has shared a heartfelt message of love and support for her long-time friend Preity Zinta. The emotional note comes at a time when Celina is going through a difficult personal phase following a custody battle and serious domestic violence allegations against her husband, Peter Haag.
Celina recently joined Preity at the HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala to cheer for Punjab Kings during an IPL 2026 match. Sharing images from the match night, Celina described Preity as one of the 'biggest lights' in her life while praising her inner beauty. She wrote, "In my darkest times, one of the biggest lights in my life is my darling, sweetheart, the one and only queen, Preity Zinta. The whole world knows how stunning she is, what a phenomenal actor she is, but her heart is every bit as stunning and as phenomenal as she is on the outside."

She added, "Preity… the only queen who “owns” the kings. The Punjab kings… a woman who has made her mark not just in cinema, not just in sports, but in the hearts of millions. I felt so proud standing by her last night, cheering for her incredible spirit, her passion, and her love for her team, the Punjab Kings."
She also mentioned how the evening was made special by the presence of other friends, including Pratibha Ranta, Sajid–Wajid, Preity's husband Gene Goodenough, and Col Deepanker Zinta. Celina wrote, "And making the evening even more special was my sweetie pie Pratibha Ranta, the amazing and hilarious Sajid–Wajid, dearest Jiju Gene, and my dearest Col Deepanker Zinta."
Celina ended the post saying, "Sports is all about winning, sometimes losing… but that's why we call it a game. And this game, we enjoyed it the best. Chakde Phatte .. team Punjab Kings."
Divorce and custody battle
Celina Jaitly, who married Austrian businessman Peter Haag, is currently going through a divorce and custody battle. The couple became parents to twin boys in 2012, followed by another set of twins in 2017. Tragically, they lost one child shortly after birth due to a medical condition.
Last year, Celina approached the Andheri court under Section 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, seeking interim relief. She has accused her husband of emotional, physical, sexual, verbal, and financial abuse, and has sought Rs 50 crore along with additional compensation. She is currently locked in a custody battle, claiming she is being denied access to her three children despite joint custody agreements.
