As per the official announcement, only those candidates who successfully complete the payment of the fee will be considered registered, and applicants are urged to check all details carefully prior to submission.
No submissions after the deadline
NTA has stated that the registration period for UGC NET June 2026 will be available only until 11:50 PM on May 20, 2026, after which no registration will be accepted.

Aadhaar card is not compulsory for registration
NTA guidelines confirm that the Aadhaar card is not essential for registration. Candidates are allowed to use identifying documents, including PAN, a driving licence, or any identity documents, through DigiLocker authentication during the application process.
Follow these steps for registration & fee payment
NTA has advised candidates to complete the online form, upload the necessary documents, remit the examination fee, and submit the application before downloading the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates are instructed to cross-check personal information, including name, parents' names, social category, PwD status, scribe necessity, subject choices, and exam city preferences, before the ultimate submission, as alterations will not be allowed later.
Important guideline for aspirants
Modifications in key fields are not allowed once the form has been finally submitted. Applicants can validate their identity through DigiLocker using Aadhaar, PAN, or a driving licence, confirming successful verification prior to accessing the registration form.
