SSC Prepones Constable (GD) Examination 2026 Due To Revised Bakrid Holiday

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has changed the examination date for the Constable (General Duty) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. The notice was issued on Friday, May 22. 

The examination, originally scheduled for May 28, has been preponed by one day. Now, the crucial test will be conducted on May 27.

The revision comes in response to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T), referencing a change in the public holiday declared on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid)

To avoid any conflict with the gazetted holiday, the Commission has proactively rescheduled the exam to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the recruitment process.

All candidates registered for the Constable (GD) Examination 2026 must take careful note of this revised date. 

The Commission has mentioned that admit cards for the rescheduled examination will be made available two to three days in advance on the official website. Candidates will be able to download them using the login credentials. 

The SSC has urged all candidates to regularly visit its official website for further notifications and updates.

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website.

Step 2: Click on the SSC CGL 2026 admit card link located on the homepage.

Step 3: Enter login credentials

Step 4: Click on submit

Step 5: Download the admit card
