The Railways Ministry on Tuesday announced the launch of the RailOne App, a unified platform for all services. RailOne app, which is available on Android and iOS, comes with a host of services just like the IRCTC app and website.
In a post on X, the government said that this app will streamline services for passengers by offering facilities like booking reserved and unreserved tickets and purchasing platform tickets. All services related to grievance platform Rail Madad will also be available on this app.

At present, the IRCTC Rail Connect application holds the exclusive rights for reserved ticket bookings for Indian Railways. Notably, the launch of RailOne app follows the same day as the implementation of several reforms in Indian Railways services.
Several Reforms In Indian Railways From July 1:
Starting July 1, the Ministry has made it mandatory to use Aadhaar-verified IRCTC IDs for booking tatkal or emergency tickets. This step is aimed at curbing the misuse of the system by IRCTC partner agents who often booked bulk tickets. As a result, genuine passengers were left frustrated due to being unable to book tickets.
AdvertisementAdditionally, the railways have announced a modest revision in its existing train fares. Under the new rules, the non-AC Mail and Express train fares will rise by Rs 0.01 per kilometre, while AC class fares will increase by Rs 0.02 per kilometre. However, suburban fares, second-class tickets under 500 km and monthly season tickets will remain unaffected by this change.
Another major change in railway services includes the revision of the first reservation chart timing. It will now be prepared eight hours before the scheduled departure of the train, instead of the earlier four-hour window.
